Does anyone know the production #'s of these cars? Someone I know has a Q code fastback with a 4 speed he may be willing to give up. How about the problem spots in the car to look for? Car hasn't run in about 5 or 6 years. Stored outside.

you can email them and they will answer production questions, etc.

If the Q-code isn't a rust-bucket, then what's the problem? Q-code with 4 speed is probably not a common car! Go for it!

Got a look at it finally today. It's rotted end to end 351C 4V wide ratio 4 speed {code 5} with a mopar pistol grip shifter and axle code U. Anyone know this one? My Mustang code book lists it as a 3.08 in '69 but nothing in '72. Motor's stuck solid, rest of car is pretty much junk. Squirrels inside........

That's my thought to. This yoyo says it's worth 500.00 and in the new millenium it will be worth even more! LOL I'll just let it rot some more and wait till he wants to dump it. I'm 95% sure the car is beyond a resto. Good heads and intake, though.
Another guy at work says he has a Ford 4 speed trans to give me. Where do I look for a part # to find out what it's from?

If I were to get it cheap, part it out and pull the third member out, could I stuff the axles back in to tow it off on a trailer?

Cripes! In the next milenium, it'll be brown metallic dust!

Let it rot!

On the axle question, Mike, no.

The wheel bearings will hold the wheel end ok, but since the center section would be gone, nothing would support the other end of the axles. Besides, you'd probably want the whole rear end anyway.

This car sounds like an investment to me. At least as a parts car.

Speaking of Y2K....my 'puter refuses to put me into that fairlane link listed above

I recall only 30 some odd 428CJ 69Fairlane 4drs were built, most coming to Canada (???) sinister government puposes?? At any rate i saw one several years ago, dark green plain looking Fairlane "quattroporte" being driven by seniors....hmmmmm.

A buddy recently bought a 69Cobra FB this is a 428SCJ car with a 4speed,manual steering and brakes ,yet a rim-blow wheel.
I am not sure how you park without honking?
