This was in a letter from James Allen in the September Mustangs and Fords (page 10). It's a NACA hood. NASA had nothing to do with the design of those ducts. In fact NASA didn't exist when the ducts were designed for aircraft. NACA stands for National Advisory Council for Aeronautics. It's probably from a '71-'73 Mustang. It's a very desirable hood.
