I bought my 1970 Maverick from a small car lot run by a retired teacher. What makes this interesting to the rest of you is that he apparently loves early falcons. He always has several on the lot along with an ocasional other interesting car. Right now he has a 63 Galaxie station wagon that doesn't run but is priced accordingly. The Galaxie interior is pretty shot but the sheet metal looks pretty good. Of more interest to the people in this part of the forum, he has an early Pinto station wagon a couple of Falcon Ranchero's and as stated above several early Falcon cars. The lot is "Joe B. Sales 15960 S. Golden Rd. Golden, CO 80401 303-279-4202" Golden is just outside Denver and they have some pretty good beer there also (My favorite is Killian's Red).Just to make this a really long post I want to thank cpmaverick for his good advice and excellent website about mavericks.

This lot now has what looks like a 64 falcon sedan delivery truck. If one of you guys don't buy it first, I may have another old Ford that I don't need.IP: 216.160.188.198 |

I just looked at it as I drove by the lot. I was afraid to stop because I probably would have bought it and I am between jobs at the moment. The body looked very good, I would suggest calling the car lot at the number in my first post. Most of the cars he has on the lot are in pretty good shape, in the dry west they dont rust nearly as bad as other parts of the country.IP: 216.160.188.198 |

Hey JCQuinn-- I plan on calling later on today. How often do you drive by there? If the car sounds good I was wondering if it would be possible for you to check it out and give me an unbiased opinion? I agree with cpmaverick, those cars are way cool!!!------------------ no quarter looking for piece IP: 209.245.141.179 |

TomstirI can drive there on friday. I would be glad to look closer and give you an opinion. I believe you can trust the guy on the phone, he seems to have the car lot because he loves old falcons and needs space to store them. When I bought the Maverick from him I thought he was pretty honest. IP: 216.160.188.198 |

JCQuinn--That would be great!!! Good deal that you bought your Maverick there and feel you were treated fairly and paid a fair price. I didn`t get a chance to call, maybe today I will have time. I am mainly worried about the body- rust and major panel damage and also if the frame is strait. I really appreciate you looking for me. Feel free to contact me [email protected] have my fingers crossed!!!!Thanks in advance---Tomstir ------------------ 65 fastback non stock no quarter looking for piece IP: 209.245.142.253 |

JCQuinn--I called twice on Thursday, once at 7:15AM and once at 2:30PM CA time, and all I got was an answering machine that did not say if it was a business or a private home. Is he open only on certain hours? Maybe they`re on vacation. Any help would be appreciated. Tomstir ------------------ 65 fastback non stock no quarter looking for piece IP: 209.245.139.20 |

For those who are wondering about this, I e-mailed a more complete description of the sedan delivery to tomstir. A shorter assesment is - No Rust, factory V8 (now a 351W, AOD), white. I am filled with auto-lust and if my cash flow was better I would be driving it.IP: 216.160.188.198 |
