I ordered some GT40 valvesprings, retainers and valve stem seals for my Maverick, I plan on installing them soon since my seals are leaking. I figure I'll need the springs for the dragstrip (Someday soon!!). Since I haven't seen them yet, does anyone know exactly how the GT40 seals work and how they install? The FMS catalog say 'no machining required'.------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber -1987 5.0L B303 roller cam/rockers -1968 Mustang Toploader -1977 Lincoln Versailles 9 inch w/discs -1980 Granada Front Discs http://www.maverickgrabber.com IP: 131.204.36.114 |

Yes, I finally recieved them a few weeks ago, haven't put them on yet but it looks like they just slip on. Nice silicone red seals. ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber -1987 5.0L B303 roller cam/rockers -1968 Mustang Toploader -1977 Lincoln Versailles 9 inch w/discs -1980 Granada Front Discs http://www.maverickgrabber.com IP: 131.204.83.153 |

Charlie, people used to say that red cars were faster,so maybe those red valve seals will knock off a tenth or so.LOL.Have you taken the car to the track yet? Will those red seals work on a yellow Falcon? ------------------ "Just Falcon Around" 1962 Falcon 351W 1958 Morris Minor 289 IP: 205.188.192.183 |
