When I looked at the '94 the first time, I noticed that there was some coolant near the waterpump. I inquired about it, and the seller told me that she had just filled it up, and must have spilled a little bit. I had the engine running and could not see a leak of any kind. She also gave me paperwork where she had just had a new radiator installed. I've only had the car about a month now and yesterday I had to fill it up again. Does this sound right??? I sure can't find a leak anywhere. Opinions?? Advise??? You shouldn't have to be filling it up that often Ked. You need to have a pressure test done on the radiator. Also, check all of your hose couplings to make sure they are properly sealed. If they aren't, it may allow the coolant to slowly leak out. Another thing to check is your plastic overflow resevoir. It may have a small hole in it. Ked, Hate to say it, but the "must have spilled some" reason is very old. In fact, my neighbor just used that one the other day when he sold his Cadillac with the "little puddle" of oil. "Must've spilled it, just changed the oil..."You shouldn't have to add any coolant yet. I'd be looking for a slow leak somewhere. Happy hunting...if you don't find it before this weekend, I'll be happy to crawl under your hood and have a look Mike IP: 38.30.8.126 |

YIKES!!!! That's kinda what I was afraid of. Looked for a leak before I bought it, could'nt find it. Last time I saw the coolant near the waterpump, looked like it was all dried up. Guess I'll have to take another look, once it stops raining, anyhow...... Hopefully it's just something lose where the new radiator was installed.IP: 207.4.28.160 |

I found my leak this weekend. It was at the hose between the radiator and the water pump. I just tightened the clamp and hopefully that'll solve that little problem. IP: 207.4.28.160 |
