I have transplanted the drivetrain from a 1985svo into a 1982coupe(extreme sleeper)the car was formerly a 2300 true sleeper.I am still looking for a good intercooler and any good ideas for an automatic build up.The car is turbo charged, injected and has a hell of a speed chip in it. The rear is posi but i haven't checked the gear ratio. FYI the origional svo test cars were 82,s also.I am also looking for a good 82 hood ie scoop ect. ALBARK

Dang, Albark!

It sounds like you have a really nice car there!

It'll be nice to see some numbers. You are planning on running it at the strip, right?

BTW, welcome to M&M! Drop by Sam's Place (another forum here) and say hello.

For Transmission I would say use a c-4, they came in earlier 4cyl cars,(pinto,II) they had fewer clutches then a v-8 c-4 so I would use a v-8 trans and 4cyl bell and flexplate.

try to find an 87-88 thunderbird turbo coupe in a junkyard. theese two years are intercooled. pick and pull yards are the best source( very cheap prices).
