No of those companies makes full length headers which will work with the AOd tranny. Any suggestions? They all specify the 5-speed. Thanks.IP: Logged |

Hey: i'm running full length hooker headers in my 62 fairlane with an aod, they also told me they would only work with the 5-speed. it did take a little planning & measuring but they're in. had to cut collector and weld back on angled about 1.5" to clear pan rail of aod, throttle cable from windsor fox(who also said hookers could only be installed with 5-speed, ha!)and floor shift from maverick or mustang. hope this helps roger

Uh.........excuse me for butting in, but we have had full length Hookers on Tony's Capri with an AOD, and currently have them on our P/SA 89 GT convertable also with an AOD. They fit just fine with no modifications of any kind. Also the Headmans fit as we have installed several sets. I do not like their flanges to the exhaust pipes though.
