How do you Identify a
C-4 automatic
Aod
T-5
and Tremmec.
Whhat cars did these come in and what engines were they behind.
I'm going to the pick-and -pull this saturday to find a good 5.0 with a c-4 or Aod and need to be able to Identify the different tranny's. Thanks for the help.

Well, your LAte model anything 5.0 will have an AOD behind it. Later model cars ad the AODE electronic AOD. A T-5 was in a 5.0 LX or GT. Tremec was mostly found in a Cobra. Anyone else can correct me if I am wrong. C-4 is out of older cars mostly. Like 80 and earlier. I am guessing you are looking toward the F/I route. If that is the case, then you will have no problem. If you need a C-4, I would recomend just making a purchase of 1 from a well known builder like JPT in MIchigan. 517-663-0578.

The difference in a tremec, vs a T-5 that I can remember is that a Tremec is 1 piece. the T-5 is seperate from it's bellhousing.
