I just bought a set of these. They are the 30# ones. The motor is around 400HP plus a 150 shot of NOS. Do you all think these are the right ones? Or is there some type of formula to figure out what size of injectors to use according to HP? BTW, they're for my Camaro. And Yes they do work on my fuel injection system. Accel wants like $500 or so, and the SVO injectors are only $210--and they're exactly the same!!------------------ 89' IROC-Z 355TPI, 6-speed I'm still lettin her break in...

I know that the stock 19lb injectors are able to support about 300 HP, the 24lb can handle up to 400 HP, so the 30lb should have no trouble handling your 400 HP. I assume you have a nitrous system that adds extra fuel when activated?IP: 207.24.72.10 |

that's the size I've been planning on using for my 351W, when I convert it to EFI.The 30# injectors are a nice low-impedance injector that can run 100% duty-cycle without overheating. I have two sets at home for my 2.3L Turbo motors. IP: 131.107.3.76 |

We have a saying, Keep your Gm car all Motorcraft!!!!!!!LOL The Injectors I use in my stocker are 24lbs and are controlled via Accell DFI system. The 30 lb injectors will flow more fuel with each pulse. Im sure as long as you are flowing the air, you can utilize that much fuel. The HP is not the concern as much as Airflow is. Remember, you need air to burn fuel and they should be in Equal parts. My best suggestion is try them since you have them. With the DFI system you can add or remove the fuel pulse to fatten or lean the thing out. If you are not using a DFI system. or something of the like, you will have no way of re jetting so to speak. You will have to raise or lower fuel pressure to make a tuning adjustment. Tony. IP: 209.240.200.63 |

Stupid question time... In Summits catalog, the picture of the FMS-SVO injectors shows them as orange. Are the different rates 19/24/30 color coded? How could you tell by looking at them already installed, which size they are? The 94 GT I was looking at had orange ones, just wondering if they were stock or not...Mike IP: 192.128.167.84 |

yes, they're usually coded by color...don't know what orange is. The low impedance 30# injectors are brown.IP: 131.107.3.84 |

400-425HP--@ flywheel??? * 0.5 = 200-212.5 8 * .8 = 6.4 200/6.4=31.25 212.5/64.=33.20350 RWHP * 0.5=175 175/6.4=27.34 So, do you go by RWHP or flywheel HP? Either way it looks like 30# injectors will work. Thanx. IP: 152.163.194.176 |
