Nope! Santa brought me a new Ryobi 4 piece cordless kit (sawzall, circular saw, drill and flashlight) a 49er sweatshirt, a new work shirt for those cold mornings, a sweater, and some other stuff that I have yet to purchase (parents give money and tell us to go shopping!) because I've been too busy to shop for myself! Now, other than gifts that were purchased with money, I have the best gift of all this Christmas. My dad. Pops health isn't very good and we were worried he might not make it to the end of the year. But he's still here! And for that, I am very thankful to God! Each and every day my father is still here is another gift from Him! Stewart

Stewart, you are indeed BLESSED to have your pops for another X-mas. I lost mine four years ago and went to visit his grave yesterday. I truly miss him and wish I had 1 more day even if it wasn't X-mas! I also got to visit the grave of my nephew only 23yrs, his grave was decorated with all X-mas stuff by my sister and friends. Give your pops a big hug every chance you get and all your loved ones too. I still consider myself a very blessed person I just wish I had 2 more blessing.------------------ joe 2001 SVT Cobra 68 GT Fastback 98 F-150 90 Escort GT (smokes the tires in all 5 gears, or just smokes through all gears) [This message has been edited by unklshu (edited 12-26-2001).]

Last year at this time we thought my mother-in-law was about to leave us. Fortunately, some nurse told her she wasn't finished yet and still had something God needed her to do when she didn't die after they took her off the ventilator. My MIL is not a religious person, but that statement made her fight to keep going. Now she is in better health than she's been for several years and we got to enjoy her company yesterday. That was a gift!I had a wonderful day yesterday. My daughters have both had a bad year, but we were able to help them out. Giving really does feel better than getting. Somebody anonymously gave one of my daughters a turkey and makings for a full Christmas dinner and baby blanket and toys and a $150 gift certificate to the local grocer. It was all left on her door step. Very nice! I think her land lord turned her name into the local ladies group at his church. (BTW - the landlord owns two 65 Mustangs - aren' Mustangers the greatest!) My son gave us a huge metal running horse. It is about 4ftx4ft, lazer cut and was heated to make it really cool colors. It's going to hang in the garage. We also got a bench seat - not for any of the ponies, but a nice oak window seat for the bay window in the new dining room. Mike likes the new DVD, haven't played it yet though. Mike gave me a fluffy purple pegasus. It'll join the other ponies on the back seat of Sgrplum. Lots of other stuff - lotions, chocolate, calendars, .... but I'll stop now. Happy Holidays, Joyce

STEWART, Spend as much time with your dad as you can, my dad died on dec 1st 2000 . It made it a very sad christmas for us, I spent the last 5 days that he was alive with him in the hospital, they put another bed in his room for me, right next to him. The nurses and doctors were great. Every day that you have with your parents and children should be christmas, NOT for the presents but for the time to spend and love together. Take advantage of the time we allhave together and make it an adventure. I got a new telescope! It is a Meade DS-114AT with motor drive and computer controlled star tracking, etc. I am tickled! I've been wanting one for years. Thanks Mrs. Claus! I am one of those folks that usually buys things as I want/need them. Consequently, buying me gifts, is a nightmare. She knows never to buy me tools. I'm very particular about tools. She managed to sneak this one in on me! Later! Joel

Stewart its sad to hear about your Dad. But glad he is still around! Thanks for reminding me how grateful I am to still have many of my family still here. That's what it's all about! This years most memoriable gift is hood pins for the 69! The rest was just nick nacks to put on the shelf. But Kudos to my parents they are starting to get the hint: car parts for Christmas! However, my Husband has it down pat. He bought me the tail light sequencers that I've wanted for three years now for that 99 of mine! What a stud!

Wrong kind of telescope, Steve! Joel has an astronomical telescope. That means viewed images are actually upside down. So if you were to look at a flag pole or that girl up the street (she's too close anyway) the image would look upside down to you. Astronomical images being upside down don't bother our brains because there are no standard points of reference for the brain to center on. Reference points such as the sky, the horizon, a roofline, etc. get a nice pair of binoculars! Stewart

Good grief Stewart you had me concerned for a second. We got our son a telescope, it's a Meade too, but not sure of the number. He just finished an astronomy class and really enjoyed it. BUT, you got me thinking... maybe my Mikes (Sr and Jr) might start arguing over using that thing - looking at heavenly bodies! I'm gonna hide the binoculars though.Substang, sounds like your wifey thinks along same lines as me. I got the hubby a DVD and Bullitt too. J.

I got a 3 1/2 ton floor jack. It's one of those, fast lift kinds. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks sweet. Also got a 9" band saw, and some Lowe's gift certificates, and Mustang money!! I'm set. I got Sandy a ceiling fan for the living room that she's wanted for a while now. Actually installed that yesterday in record time (rubs knuckles on shirt). Also a VCR and a DVD...now I just have to figure out how to defeat Macrovision, and we'll be all set.
