I recently bought a new toy. A 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT which is an awesome car and a blast to drive. The only problem with the car is it has an air leak and whistle around the drivers window. This has been a problem on and off since 99 according to Ford. I figured if anybody would have the answers or solutions I would find it here with the Mustang faithful. I look forward to talking with and possibly meeting many of you folks. Thanks.

Welcome to M&M!! I think you'll find that this is one of the best sites on the net! A Bullitt owner, too! Nice!! You might post the whistling question in the '99-'01 mustangs section. I seem to remember that dealers were replacing the weatherstripping around that window, but I'm not positive.

Hi Clif, Welcome to M&M from another Bullitthead!
You've found a great family here at Mustangsandmore!
There's lots of good Bullitt specific information at Bullittclub.com -but M&M is my home.
Don't have that whistle in ours, so I'm not gonna be any help with that. But do check out the SN-95 forum here too. As already mentioned there are about five or maybe more Bullitt owners here.
BTW - what number is yours - Mine is #1004 - Dark Highland Green.

welcome Clif,
Very car, just bring it back to the dealer, they will fix the problem. It seems that when the weather stripping was installed it was compressed, that is the cause of your whistling, but , if the tune is a good one just leave it alone and tap your toes

Welcome Clif.

You can always find the answers to any questions here.

As far as the wind noise goes your looking in the wrong area. It's the speedometor error. All cars whisle at 170 mph

Clif,
Welcome to the Mustangsandmore.com extended family. Enjoy the site, check out all the forums and have fun. We do have an annual gathering every year. The 2002 gathering is still in the works, but two other minor gatherings are already set up. The West Coast members are having a mini gathering and the East Coast is gathering in Pensacola, Florida in March. Stop by the upcomming shows and events forum for more details on both events. Again, welcome to the M&M extended family.

Sorry Cliff I responded to your post in the SN-95 forum but i did not welcome you.

Welcome to M&M. Your problem may not be solved yet but give it some time, we have a lot of Ford boys and grrls here that really now their stuff. We just need more SN-95 owners to really round this place out.
