You know the one where various people sing the Supertramp song, 'Give a little bit?' I can't name a single one of the singers. The last guy sounds like Warren Zevon, but he's black and as far as I know, Warren is still white. ------------------

I can't recall all of them, but I know a few of them were Alanis Morrisette, Macy Gray, Seal (I think), Johnny Reznick...um...I'd have to see the commercials again to tell you others.------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Maybe they want you to 'bridge the Gap'! LOL! I see them but they don't register. When I hear it I remember from the last time the commercial, but NOT the product- ie Gap. There's a commercial about the woman on her 50 the Anniversary shoving cake in her husband/s face. Something about getting a realtor or lawyer, etc. It's funny, and I remember the commercial but NOT the product. Sh*tty ads, then. I remember the talking animal ads! Calvin Klein ads are memorable!!!

He's the lead singer for the Goo Goo Dolls, if you've heard of them. They did a song for the movie "Twister" and another one for "City of Angels" (I think that's what it's called...Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan). Reznick also paired up with Fred Durst to cover the Pink Floyd song "Wish You Were Here" at that All-Star Tribute to Heroes that happened back in October or September. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

I know these people, too. I was just wondering who the black guy with the dreadlocks that sounds like Warren Zevon was. I just saw the commercial again, and the one I'm referring to only has the guy with the dreadlocks in it. ------------------

Ah, I believe that's Shaggy. At least, that's the only guy I know that's got that voice. A few years ago he did a song called "Mr. Boombastic" and more recently, a song called "Wasn't me" (I think). That song is basically about getting caught cheating...then trying to say..well, it wasn't me. Why I know this, don't ask me. I don't listen to that kind of music. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Lol, whats funny is that he sounds nothing like that when he speaks. He is from the good ol' USA (cant remember where exactly). He was in the Army and during marching he had to do their lil chant or whatever you want to call it, and he came up with the accent (nope, he is not Jamacan [sp]). ------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 I6, Holley 2300, Clifford header, true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT AOD vert, 15.810 @ 88.871 mph 100% stock w/ no traction 1976 Silverline Comoro 18' trihull ski boat, 188 hp 302 I/O, another toy http://all.at/mustang https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html

You guys don't get it... They got your attention. We have teen age kids... They go to GAP... We walk into the mall... Kids say, "I want to go to the GAP"... You say, "OK, at least they do ads with old songs in them"... The GAP wins... You may not have know what the ad was about, but you know who the GAP is... Don

i swear i am not a political person really.... but here is a link to some folks who are really putting themselves out there to protest the big american ad campaign monster.... sort of like the greenpeace of media advertising... i just happened to read about it today and figured what the hay.... i know nothing about it but the little bit i have skimmed. it may offend folks cause they are very blunt about how the dumbing down of america has allowed such stupid ads (as the ones they discuss) to dominate our culture.... i dont condone OR endorse this site i just happened across it in a local publication.... my first thoughts is that it would be funny.... but truth is .....they have some serious issues to present.... http://adbusters.org/campaigns/bnd/toolbox/uncommercial/ anyways.... just my little non-political two-cents.... i am just the messenger.... puh-leeeeeze dont shoot me!! heh heh heh kk
