Took the Queen Bee in this morning to get her new convertible top installed. Hubby met me and took me home to get the SheStang. He told me he was going to wait to be sure She started up. I knew She would, and She did. I ran into the house for a minute while She was warming up to get a couple of items. Half way up my walkway I hear - purra purra purra and I knew She was fixin' to die. I ran back and put my foot on the gas, and dead She went. I spoke to her and asked her to please not act up, that I really needed her to come through for me today. After a couple of tries, She finally decided to cooperate. I gave Her a few minutes to finish protesting the chilly rain, and the fact that the Queen was getting a new convertible top that was suppose to be Her new headliner and windshield and away we went. As I was backing out of my driveway, I barely brushed against the horn and it sounded. Well, that's weird ~ ~ ~ Soooooooo, I get on a busy road on my way to work. I was only about a half mile into my journey, when all of a sudden my horn jams!!! AaaAaAaRrrrrRrrrrrGggggGGgGgggHhhhhh!!! Other drivers at the traffic light were looking at me like I was crazy!! I just held both my hands up and shrugged my shoulders. When I pulled in for gas, I found a small plastic piece has broken off and gotten lodged in the horn. I took care of that right away!

After pumping my gas, two fella's come in the store. One guy looks directly at me and says, "Is that your Camaro out there??" I said, "NO!!" He says, "oh, I mean Mustang" I look at the clerk (who is always wanting to buy one of my Mustangs, he doesn't care which!) and say, "did you hear what he just said???" (I'm not sure he understands all of this conversation as his English is "challenged"). The first guy says, "oh, I knew it was a Mustang, I just wanted to see what you would say". I told him I was extremely insulted, all the while thinking to myself, don't let Her hear you say that....... As I left his buddy stepped out and said, "I really like that car".

Whew!! I got to work with no more incidents.

I thought you met my wife after seeing the title of this post, she's always mad about something,it's not my fault though.

I had to drive the stang to work today also, ole ladys Explorer is acting up, off to the dealer it goes, either under it's own power or on the hook, I sure wasn't going to let her drive the stang.

I started a thread the other day about the pi$$poor customer service I have been experiencing with this guy. But, I believe the server was giving Steve a fit at that time and it had to be deleted. But, to try and sum it up when I went and put down my deposit he told me it would be in in two days. Well, a week later the top still was not in, but he told me the window was (this was last Friday). He said that the supplier did not have the top and it had to come from the manufacturer. I asked him why he had not told me this to begin with and the $marta$$ told me that there were some things that just were "not his customer's business". I don't think so!!! Once I pay someone $ for a service, I believe they are working for me and I deserve to know every aspect of the job. Period. I asked him at that time, so, since you told me my top would be in in two days and it's taken over a week, does this mean that when it comes down to doing this job it's really not going to be for just a day, but longer instead? He assured me that it would only be one day. Well, about 2:30 today his secretary (the coward couldn't even call me himself) called to tell me that the window that came in last week was tinted, not heated and that they ordered the correct one and it is "expected in tomorrow". I'm pi$$ed that he didn't check the shipment when it came in to be sure it was correct. Hopefully, he'll be done by tomorrow afternoon......then he'll be happy to have this Bit$h outta his hair and I will be happy to not have to deal with him anymore. He was going to do the SheStang, but not now!! I'll pay more if I have to because I don't like the way he has handled this situation.

Ked, if it had been me, and I had been treated that way, I would have demanded my money back and taken my business elsewhere.

Screw that a$$hole. I'm pissed off and it wasn't even me that he said that to.

I agree with Stewart on this too.I would have a hard time trusting the guy after that.I would push him to get the parts in but not to rush the job.

And the two guys in the gas station.Well thats happens to me more then times then not.Sometimes i'm not sure either on the year or make of of some ones cars.I'll ask them 1st rather then just make a guess.
Saying and mustang is a camaro,is like saying a vw is a porshe.

O.K., well I gotta fess up. He did offer me a full refund, which is what hubby wanted me to do. But, he was about $300 cheaper than anybody else in town. Also, his guarantee was better than anybody else, five years instead of just two years. In our initial conversation, I told him that the deposit was quite a bit of money to come off of right here around the holidays to keep being told (for over a week) that the top is due in "tomorrow" and he said, "what do ya think I'm gonna do, keep your money and not do the job". At which point, I asked him if I had told him where I worked and his comment was, "I don't see what difference that makes". I told him where I worked and that yes, I had run his name through our database (as I would anyone that I am getting ready to do any dealing with) and that I had discovered that he had been on supervised probation a little over a year ago for a bunch of worthless checks. I almost found someone else to do the job based solely on that, but then rethought the whole attitude and decided that since he was no longer under any obligation with the courts to go ahead and give him a chance. This is the point where he offered me a full refund and in the same sentence also stated, "I don't believe you will find a better price, job or guarantee".

You would think that after 11 years in this department I would have become a bit more cynical when dealing with folks. Perhaps I am to good natured and feel that everyone has the oppurtunity to regret their mistakes and correct their mistakes.

Believe me, when I pick the Queen Bee up (hopefully today) I will certainly express my views in regards to his lack of Customer Service!

What?????? ???? What??????

***************************************

We busted our A$$es to get to his shop before 5:00 p.m. Of course, he had already left for the day. I asked the lady a couple of questions, then I handed her my credit card to put the balance on. She told me that their machine had been down since Monday and it was not fixed yet then told me I could go use the cash machine across the street and get the cash. (I shoulda insisted they take a check, huh?) Anyhow, I did not have the cash and told her she would just have to call it in manually. She did not know how to do that!! They called him back on the phone and he said if I would leave the car there overnight he would not charge me the "extra" fee and he would run the card manually in the a.m.

Geez!!! How's this guy stay in business?????

yes, Steve. It's a matter of public record. Any joeblow can call me on the phone and inquire to an individual's probation/parole record, past or present. Also their prison record. There is some info that is considered confidential such as SSN, drug/alcohol treatments, substance abuse screenings, home address, and such as that. (Home addresses can be released to other LEA, but not the general public, and I usually refer those questions directly to the PPO). North Carolina also has a web site where you can check a persons criminal record (for a fee) if you like. I do not have access to pending charges though.
