I need to get brought up to speed, here:When I was growing up, we looked at any guy with an earring strangely. But there used to be a code that if a guy had a earring in his right ear, he was gay. Straight guys wore their earring in their left ear. There was a phrase 'Right is wrong, and left is right.' or something like that. So what does it mean when all these guys these days wear earrings on both ears? Are 95% of the young guys AC/DC? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC My Photo Page Christmas shopping? I guess it,s like, a fastback or coupe. They just have not figured out which one they prefer. It,s all about experimentation now adays for the young people. I miss the 60s & 70s. I think that earrings have ceased to be a symbol of a males ummmm .......preference. it seems as though it has just become more of a fashion statement, just as Tattoo's used to be only for rough individuals, it almost seems as though everyone has one(or more).I have none of the above and plan on dying with only the marks and holes that are incurred, only by doctors and original equipment. ------------------ Ed Heart mods:Trick High flow titanium valve ported & polished Listen close: "tic tic tic" No folks thats not a noisy lifter thats the sound of big flow! 1984 5.0L LX Conv 3600 lbs 13.41 at 101.89 SIR http://ragtopjr.hypermart.net/ http://ragtop-racing.stangnet.com/ http://mbmustangs.tripod.com/index.htm

Steve, I don't understand either. At this age I have enough holes in my body to give me trouble without making new ones. Personally I think a man/boy/youngman/oldman with an earrinng looks well..silly,then again I am old sam

Steve, You are correct in the earring meant left is straight and right is gay. But Ed said it best, "Now it's just a fashion statement". Same thing with tatto's. I have two females in my class that both went out and got tatto's on their lower back. No, I did not see them and I don't care to either. Sam, Back in the days when ships were made of wood and sail, sailors had earrings. The more earrings a sailor had, the higher his rank. Here in smalltown, British Columbia, tons of guys have earrings-for various reasons. Some of our doctors have them, bikers, loggers, rednecks, computer techs-anybody. I got mine (left ear) at my best friend's ('56 4speed chevy) stag. A bunch of us did. That was seven years ago, and the two of us are the only two left. He still has the cheap original and I.... Have a gold loop that my mother-in-law gave me! How many of you guys get earrings from your mother-in-law? A chevy guy down the street has two big gold loops, one in each ear, with his head shaved. He does look like a POOF (Peter?) but he's 6'5" so I certainly won't tell him! Dave

I used to have 2 earings when I was in my late teens/early 20's. Not sure why I stopped wearing them, actually. No big deal in this area, like Dave said. It's very common. I can't get into all the other piercings though... nose, tongue, eyebrow... does nothing for me.Tattoos... well, I have one, but I think that even Sam and Dave G. would approve of mine. Wythors, you still have that pic from the 2000 Vancouver show? I don't mind small tasteful tattoos on women (small of the back or ankle), but don't really like it if they are too big and glaring. Lol, I probably shouldnt mention about a month ago I was about to get a tattoo . I was also going to get something pierced. I hadnt decided what yet but it was either my tongue or my ear. Nipples had been finally ruled out as thats gotta hurt plus I wouldnt want to hit them while weight lifting (a female friend and I were going to get ours done at the same time) I went so far as to go into a tattoo/peircing place and talked to the people. As for the belly button rings in women, imho, that is probably THE sexiest thing they can do. Yup, I love 'em, which explains my fear of the talking belly button. ------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 I6, Holley 2300, Clifford header, true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT AOD vert, 15.810 @ 88.871 mph 100% stock w/ no traction 1976 Silverline Comoro 18' trihull ski boat, 188 hp 302 I/O, another toy http://all.at/mustang https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html

That is a cool tattoo Ian! I think that and a Ford oval would be really cool to have (ok, so I stole Ashleys idea of what would be cool). The other female tattoo location that is nice is the one that is ummm, lol, how do you explain this, on the upper portion of the pelvic region below the pantyline (lol, I think that worked). . Yes I'm in Nevada too,but in the BIG city. Yes alot of guys have rings all over thier face,No I dont like it,and I dont have one nor will my son.Like you Steve, the left right thing was the way it was.Now its anything gose, look at some of those freaks on the basketball court. A small tatto is ok,but I would rather that be left for the men only.Today some people have thier everything with rings, hoops, tatto's,blue, pink, green, hair. After a while I start to feel like the odd one out.I'm just an average look guy.No rings,no art on me,and short dark hair.

Ian, I absolutley like your tat! It's awesome. I have gone so far as to design a tat for me. Start off with the Mustang Running Horse in silver. Surrond it with a Blue Oval and white trim around it. Then cap it off with "Mustang" above in Red and finish it with "Powered by Ford" in blue below. That would look awesome. Of course I haven't had the time, money or nerve to get it done. But the thought is still there and burning strong. I'm glad I'm not the only one LMAO at that one!! I have a feeling I'll be quoting that line at some point!! It's right on the money. Me...I'm clean. No holes, no graffiti. Just not my thing. I don't mind seeing them, although I'm not fond of the eyebrow thing. I don't get that one. I wince every time I see one of those ("why did you do that to yourself???"). Maybe I'm just toooo conservative, but I don't see me ever having either.

I have four tattoos and am planning a fifth one. All of mine can be covered if I wear a t-shirt and jeans. I think it's addicting. I am very picky about tattoos on women though. Has to be small and easily hidden.

I guess I would have to say I love tattoos on both men and women. If I hadn't married a wonderful women 32 years a go that detests them(almost her only fault), I would be covered with them rather than just two. Piercings, I can take or leave although I have considered having a few things pierced myself other than my ear. I think that tastefully done they can be "Works of Art" Later Joel
