America's leading lady of entertaining and the home arts, Martha Stewart, is skimping on a company Christmas party and goading employees into hosting a series of potluck dinners at their homes instead.
She e-mailed 65 of her Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia staffers asking for "volunteers" to each have 10 co-workers over, with Martha picking the guest list. The hostess extraordinaire offered $300 to each volunteer to help with costs but few employees took her up on the deal. So, Stewart sent out another note, invoking Sept. 11. "To me, the terrorists have certainly succeeded if so few of you participate in a companywide effort to 'get together.'" Her Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia saw third quarter revenues rise 13 percent to $69.6 million. * * * Is that a good thing? ------------------

She runs a very tight race with Leona Helmsley. Leona is aptly dubbed the QUeeen of Mean. She's the one who said that only little people pay taxes. The funniest thing I ever saw was the Pic of the Leona douche bag. It was a pic of an ol. red rubber bag with Leona's pic on it. The nozzle was in her mouth. Time someone made one for Martha 'cause she really is a POS!! For people having to deal with her is having to french kiss a rattlesnake!

That's who I thought of when I read that, too! Two peas in a pod, those two are! Martha Stewart has a place up here in Maine and I read that when she moved in she gave her new neighbors a list of 'suggested improvements' for their properties along with an invitation to a 'Welcome me to the neighborhood' party. It appears that Martha is getting a little? 'weighty' thes days!! Today at grocery checkout where the tabloids are--a pic of Martha on the front page weighing in at a lofty 212!! I seriously hope that it is not life threatening, but I hope she doesn't start making bikinis!! LOL! It wasn't pretty!

LOL...I saw that too yesterday. And damn, if that's true, she's hiding it well. The day before that I saw her in an interview on MSNBC (or one of those news channels), and she looked like she always has.And, ironically enough, she was talking about her holiday party idea. She said she had asked for volunteers to host a dinner party and take 10 people from work home with them. She never said how many people had taken her up on the offer, only that she had signed up for it herself. LOL. ------------------

OK, We all agree Martha SUCKS... I want to brag a little... The company I took early retirement from has their Christmas Party at the SilverSmith Casino in Wendover, NV (that's where Bonneville Speedway is at)... Hosted Bar for 3 hours, Dinner, Presents for all attendees (including old retired guys) and they arange for a special rate on rooms... I have to go to two Xmas partys/dinner one from my work.Which is cool being that we only have 3 full time people.And have worked with them for 14 years.But then theres my wifes new job.I dont know any of those people.I have such a hard time being nice to people that dont give and sh** about you.I hate that fake peopel you know,nice to meet you, so on so on.Ok I'll stop now. thought you might like to know that when "THE DEVIL" I mean moutha was in vancouver B.C. some fans said hi asked for an autograph, she looked at them and flipped them the bird. she is not a nice lady, if you can call her that. john

Steve, I always have a good time,as long as there is booze .I did not mean all nice people are fake.Just a few that act like they care so much about you.But really could not care if you crashed on the way home.I'm really very easy to get along with.I like meeting new people as long as they are real.I dont care if your an Ahole or a sweet heart,just be yourself.That was more my point.
And thanks my wife say your respons and tells me,SEE THATS WHAT I KEEP TELLING YOU.I'll rermember that Steve.
