Went to Home Depot to get subflooring for the dining room. Cost <$25.
However, we came home with a new Home Depot credit card and $500 of odds and ends for the Garage Majal.
All stuff we need, but not what we went there for. New matching light fixtures for the dining room and kitchen, a brass heater vent cover, door casing x 3, a raised panel new bathroom door, two rugs, gardening book, nails, florescent bulbs.....
We've discovered working on the house has become like working on a car. You start out only meaning to replace something minor, but when it is all brand new the thing next to it looks like crapola so you have to keep going.
No such thing as being finished!

Carpet layers will be here within the hour to put in the new dining room flooring. Then I'll be ready to start T-giving for my 14 guests tomorrow!

Gotta love Home Depot, its like my home away from home. BTW you are NEVER finished. From someone who has owned 1 old home & has owned 2 new homes, there is always something you want to do.

HOME DEPOT,The $100 store. You cant go in there with spending at least $100.
This summer I did a 12X20 patio with pavers. It started out only being about $200.Another and $300 Later and 50+ hours labor.Man I need a handy man for the house so I'll have more time for the Mustang.
Your right it's never done.Theres always some thing you want to do.And something your told to do.

Time for a balance transfer to a Visa. Home Depot interest on their card is 21%- at least in FL. That is out*******rageous!

Mellow - Agreed!
They had a deal going today until sometime in December. No payment, no interest until Jan 2003. Of course it'll be paid off long before then.
I actually prefer Lowes better.

It's only money!!!! We have a Home Depot about a mile away and I always take my truck knowing that I will find something big to put in the back. I have a side gate that is about twelve feet that has been in need of repair for the past four months. Got some fencing material and made a frame, then attached wood. All the time I kept thinking of what I might have been able to get done with the Z project. Oh Well! It does one good to get away from those car projects. Speaking of projects,I understand a Mach has arrived.Stay with the grabber blue or green. You have a Pinkie now a Bluie. Whats next? RED

Home Depot, in our area, snapped up all available empty store bldgs, got long term leases, like the now defunct Builder's Square, etc. in an effort to keep Lowe's out! Have yet to go to a Lowes but hear they're good.
