Normally, I wouldn't post something regarding the Christmas season so early, but it's driving me nuts.

I remember a time, mainly when I was younger, when I would be able to give my folks a huge list of things I wanted for Christmas.

The past couple years, and this year especially, I'm having trouble coming up with any ideas! Mom's on my back about some kind of "list"...I just don't know what I want...

I guess I'm just not a needy/wanting person. I've got a job, if I really need something, I go out and buy it myself. Seems to be this whole "commercial" aspect of the holiday is adding undue stress to the situation.

I don't even think I know what I'm saying...

Welcome to the group.

At 51 I still get the "what you want for Christmas" line..every year I ask that any money to be spent on gifts for me be donated to the "Angle Tree" for childern who don't have as much as others..and every year I get a pair of jeans

Frank,
Real simple. Real easy. Give them a list of parts you would like for the Mustangs.
We always give my father a new NPD catalog so that he can circle parts he wants for his Stang. Works great for his birthday, christmas, fathers day, etc..... Just a thought.

Frank,

You are right on track... Now, sit down with your parents and explain yourself... Let them know that being with family and friends is what is important at Christmas...

Giving is still good... And that is what your mom is getting at... But, give from the heart and keep the commercialization out of the picture...

Mustang Parts are nice tho... Ho Ho Ho...

ahhhhh,shucks Don

But really what can someone give me I can't get myself..

The thought is nice for them giving, but there's so many who have much less than I that I see it as giving to me to provide a small gift to another who may not have.

If I may..I don't know about other areas but the local Malls/TV Stations sponsor whats called The Angle Tree.its a Christmas tree with childerns names & ages so one can purchase a gift of them..If your community has a project similar please take time to.

You could make someone Holiady special.

The local Bank, here in Wells, always has a tree with names on it. We take several names and buy them something.

This year, I am going to have my sons go down and select names and get something for those kids...
