Stopped by the LVMS Strip today and watched the PRO NITROS running in 6's.. Nice break on my trip from San Diego to Wells.. Great Facility.. I had been to the Speedway and watched NASCAR,, but that was the first time I'd checked out the STRIP.. Met a fellow Mustanger.. He had just put together a 351W and was upset with his mid 11 second times.. I informed him of our resident GURUS and he was writing down M&M's address.. Nice guy,, nice '67 coupe.. I told him for a 1st time out 11's were tooooo bad.. It will be interesting to seeing if he checks us out.. Check out the Strip at Las Vegas.. Actually they have 4 Race Tracks plus a slolum course and Motocross Track.. http://www.lvms.com/ I've been on the road since 5 am,, got home 10ish.. I'm beat.. Good Night.. ------------------ Don '66 Fastback 302 with 5 speed Royal Blue Metallic w/Ghost Flames https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/BigD.html '94 Skidoo Mach Z, 925cc,, 175 hp,, 2" Camoplast Long Track.. Don,It's a great track isn't it. Infineon is a sister track to it, but the road course is the return road at Infeneon so they can't have road races and drag racing at the same time like Vegas can. Glad you had a good time. SteveW

Steve,,It really is a top notch facility.. I was not impressed with their oranizational skills.. From the Announcers,, to the pace of the races,, to concessions.. It was one of the poorest shows I've ever seen.. I am sending them a note stating so.. I think they did the PRO NITRO guys an injustice.. It is a shame to see such an awesome facility with such a fun field of racers Under-Represented.. The announcer didn't know Half the cars or the driver's names.. He kept apologizing.. It was a second rate show,, Not acceptable,, Especially in a town that is know for great shows.. Don

Don,That was the knock against them when we had the et finals there year before last. The announcing was sub-par, but the organization was ok at the event we attended. Now little Fallon's TopGun Raceway put on a good show and was very well organized. But the facilities were very sub-Vegas. SteveW SteveW

Well,, I sent their Manager of Public Relations an email with an honest appraisal of last weeks show.. Will be interesting to see if I get any response..I sure hope they address the poor organization issue.. With such a great facility,, the last thing they is a Rep for putting on a bad show.. Don

No sooner than I made the last post,, I receive 2 emails.. One from the Mngr of Public Relations and another from the Director of the Stip.. The Pro-Nitro Nationals was ran by an independant Promoter.. They realize they have a problem and are in the process of fixing it.. Not all promoters are into making sure things run right.. They are just into the potential $$$ to be made.. Chris Blair the Strip Director did invite me down to watch "one of his events" as his personal guest.. I thought that was pretty classey of him to make that offer.. Now lets see if they make the changes.. Don
