I need a set of roller rockers for a 289 with 351 heads. Can anybody give me a recommendation on some resonably priced rockers? Also should I use 3/8 or 7/16 rocker studs.I had a slight mishap with the S/S Morris and need to build up a new set of heads.Thanks.

I would use 7/16, the bigger the stud, the stronger the stud.
Harland Sharp are usually very reasonably priced. I haven't heard of any falling apart (yet)

Jim,

Sorry about the mishap with the Morris' top end Jim! The Crane's are working well for us with 3/8 studs, but 7/16 should be better. What happened to the heads?

3/8ths are just fine Jim. That is all that I have ever used on a Windsor FoMoCo. I have a set of "new" Ford Motorsport (Crane) ones available if you like. $200 shipping included prepaid. Alex

Thanks,Alex.I got a good deal on some Harland Sharp rockers and ARP 3/8's studs so I'm going with those.

I saw Mark Tallent's S/S L, 4 gear car cut some 11.40's at Palmdale yesterday.Just amazing to me you guys run that fast with a 289, Ford 4bbl. motor.Sea level times would be high 10's.I'm happy if the Morris runs 12.50's at Palmdale.LOL.

I'm glad that you finally got to see Mark's car run Jim. You will be just fine with the H/S rockers and ARP 3/8ths studs. Alex
