Ok, listen to this. I was cruisen along and next to me this mitsubishi eclipse rolls up. This thing had more stickers than a drag racing car. I couldnt even see the driver except for his hand on the steering wheel cause he was sitting so far back it must have beeen the back seat. I looked through the "powered by rice" sticker and into his car and noticed that he was keeping the car in uetral while he was on a hill so he would "roll back" before he shifted tomake people think he was driving a manual. I couldnt help but laugh. the guy even had a spyder emblem on the car(i dont think he knows spyders are convertibles). He went rolling on with the loud "EEEEEEEE" sound emitted by the trash-canned sized tip. And personbally i dont think spoilers that stand 8 feet in the air do any thing. So anyways. at the next light he looks over and hears the rumble of my exhaust powered by my slightly tricked out 289. He revves his engine and rev mine back. So it was on.The light turned green, he took off at an early lead as i was rollin along in first. Ilet him get about a 2 car lead then i blasted it and shot past him like 8 car lengths. Turns out there is a new racing crew in my neighboorhood called PROJECT IMPORT, with all raced out looking rice rockets. I smoked what turned out to be Project 1Welcome to American muscle baby! My girl is hungary for sommore too... IP: 24.25.212.9 |

Next time, tell him that he better peel those stupid stickers off before he gives the car back to his mamma! They put boomer stereos in them tuna cans and think that they have a high performance car! [This message has been edited by MLariviere (edited 02-12-2000).] IP: 209.222.109.161 |

As my auto instructor said "The more powerful the stereo, the less powerful the engine" or something along those lines :>). He said if someone has a real engine they dont care about the stereo, they love to listen to the engine. I couldnt agree with him more. This instructor is pretty cool, he use to road race Corvettes (said he loves Ford engines and engineering but couldnt afford to race one :>). ------------------ Tim 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 ci w/ a Holley 2300 come.to/65mustang IP: 165.87.14.198 |

OK i am a bit biased against riceburners... so i went to a VERY neutral authority. A buddy of mine is into motorcycles, has no brandloyalty at all, just whatever he likes best at the time,he has a Suzuki bike and a VW van and a Saturn car. Anyways we were riding in his car thru Vancouver (there is a huge "import" population) and a Honda with all the stuff pulls up....5" exhaust tip,the oriental stickers,18" rims,etc,etc... Light turns green and the car takes off making a huge noise,we just drove the Saturn alongside even tho the Honda was at full chat!! My buddy laughed his head off " ITS AN AUTOMATIC!!!!" apparently to the casual observer that is the height of lameness,a 'boy racer' Hondamatic. IP: 209.167.211.240 |

Car+Driver had a hot rod honda shootout.Their supercharged civic blew up on the way to the track. Detonated a piston. I think the stereo still worked, though. ------------------ SteveLaRiviere/Administrator Mustangsandmore.com Cherishing the Past, While Racing into the Future! IP: 209.222.81.174 |

Last year we went to a Nerd Car day race in Wisc. These yahoos winding these turds up to the moon and running in the 15 second range. Absolutely helarious. However an older toyota was chassied and running like a set of 10" hoops did run in the 9's. Rotary twin turbo car. At least some of those guys an think and use tecnology to the fullest. But then again, it was still old school tech with new school tech stuck to it. I still would rather have what I got rather than a nerd car.Tony. IP: 209.240.200.63 |

It's actually an Anti-Riceboy page.Read this disclaimer; "If you're one of those wannabe-fast-car-drivers, and you're going to reply, go ahead. But if you're going to call me an "Asian Traitor" which several of you have, you are lame. Rice-Boys come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. And you know, I've gotten a few people already to write "You're probably a Camaro or Mustang driver." Let me give you a reality check here: A stock Camaro or Mustang costs less than an Integra GS-R, and dammit, it's faster too. Which also means that a fixed up Camaro or Mustang will also burn your "fixed up" rice-boy Integra. Street-legal Mustangs have been running in the 10s and 11s for a long time. I hear some even run in the 9s or even the 8s! There are no street-legal 10 second Hondas to my knowledge. I'm not an "Import Nazi". I don't hate imports. I don't even hate Hondas. What I do hate is people who run around thinkin' that they are all badass when they ain't got nothin'. So next time you think about baggin' on a Mustang or Camaro driver, just remember he can probably burn you. I drive Japanese cars, just so you know." So you have a guy that put together a page to dis rice-boys, basically. ------------------ SteveLaRiviere/Administrator Mustangsandmore.com Cherishing the Past, While Racing into the Future! I'd rather focus on the positive, discuss the cars I like, and forget about the cars I don't like. It's sad when a person spends so much energy to offend others.
