Now available from MMR (me!) 65-73 Mustang/Cougar/Fairlane/Comet etc 289-302 and certain 351W application long tube headers. These are Flow Techs that are 6111 Hooker SUper COmp clones. 1 5/8 x 30 with 3 inch collectors. Comes complete with gaskets, hardware and street hook ups. Flow Tech is owned by Hooker which now makes all their headers in Mexico. These headers are almost identical to the 6111 Hooker SUper COmps. NO they are not the same quality tubing! NO they do not have the same size 5/16 flange. NO they do not cost $400 either. Same performance and noise as the 6111 guaranteed for a fraction of the price. $119 + shipping for a decent free flowing well fitting long tube set of headers. Better than any Summit or Hedman. That's $119 + shipping for the complete set.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." You order the headers from ME! These are semi duplicates of 6111 Hookers, not the 6208 351 conversion headers. They will fit 69-73 Mustangs with 351W, and 65-68 with some massaging. NO GUARANTEES on 65-68 351W Mustangs! ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." They are virtual duplicates (except for the non fixed collector flange) of the 6111 Mustang header which also fits the Torino. I think the correct super comps for my car (351W FMX) is the 6116- but you think these will fit well? It is a GREAT offer, but I want these to fit and definitely not scrape on every speed bump I go over. Think I'd be allright? I'm very interested.------------------ 1970 Grande H code 351W FMX

Alex...Will these things be "pain-free" going into my '73 Maverick when we put the Windsor in it?! We ARE chopping off the faces of both shock towers, so I think clearance will be there. But, even with that aside, are these Flow Tech's configured to sit down in a Maverick's engine bay (with the 351W) and not hang too low or have other crazy issues that a "non-Maverick" header would have? Please let me know, buddy. We definitely want to get away from exhaust manifolds with the bigger engine. Many thanks!Kaje KJ JONES Racing Reseda, CA www.kjjones.com

They will probably fit both a 69 Mustang with a 351W and a Maverick (with a little massaging). They do tuck in nice and hug close to the engine. I can't guarantee it yet at this time as I haven't had anyone try them on those combo's.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS! Then the next question is..."why don't you send a free set out here for me to 'try out' and I can let you know whether or not you need to stick to marketing them for 'Stangs only?!" LOL.Figured there's massaging involved. "How much?" is the question. We're taking some decent hacks out of the shock towers, so I'm really interested in finding a set that'll work well with that amount of clearance and not impede "flow" too much by banging strategic dents in the tubes. I'm down to "guinea pig" anything, so let me know if we can break bread on this one! I had that bumper too. Sold it. That would'a been a brain-dead swap. Oh well. Thanks for the info. There's an early-'Stang set of 1 and three-quarters headers for sale local. Dude might want same money and I'd get bigger pipes. Think it'll work? Freakin' Mavericks...see what I get for "daring to be different?!?!?!?!" Thanks, guys! See 'ya! Kaje KJ JONES Racing Reseda, CA www.kjjones.com

Would these work with a GT40X head in a 65? (I have no idea about the issues with GT40P exhausts and hoping the same problem doesn't apply to the X)How big is the box and how much does it weigh? Thanks Ben

they should work fine on the x heads. but you will probably have some plugwire clearance problems with the p-head. i think!------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.51 @89mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://prestage.com/site/site_display.asp?SiteID=141

What years of torinos alex? do you think they would fit around a c6 with a little massaging?

I had those on my 68 Fairlane when the 289/C4 was in it and they fit AWESOME in it. Only a minor messaging was needed to get 2 bolts on the drivers side. Here they are on my 289 (if it works)http://groups.msn.com/MyFordandMercury/mycars.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=136 [This message has been edited by dark7068 (edited 11-09-2003).]
