I know this is an old subject iv'e asked before but now that the car is all together what are your opinions. leave like it is, add some stripes, or maybe some light graphics?
I think the car needs something but don't know what, I don't want flames or exact stripeing simular to what it had originally.
Thanks

Gary, looks Very sweet! If it were me, I'd add black stripes (GT style) along the rocker panels. Also something black on the tail end, not sure what though. Just my humble view. Nice Car Sir!

Gary I dont think your car needs anything more. Its clean lines make it look even more mean. But I like ghost flames myself.Or you could do some ghost side lower panel stripes.I say nothing to bold.Or a small black stripe between the front and rear wheels.

A friend of mine has built an SUV he calls a Warthog. I made a design for him and he got some really nice emblems made up -- I think they're steel bases with ceramic and a clear plastic overlay.
I think your car needs something like that. A car with no name on it always looks like a kit car to me. Just MHO.

Modifying a car does take alot of skill in the artistic area doesn't it? From the proportions of the body, wheel size, stance. You need somewhat of an eye for it don't you. I think we all realize this when we see a disaster at a car show or driving down the road. Do you reckon some guys good on a computer could take your car's photo and rough out some sort of stripes or something to see what it would look like?

I agree with Jerry on the GT side stripes
I only have one side stripe on my car right now (right side) while the left side is still plain old stock --- I cant believe just HOW MUCH the GT stripes changed the entire look of the car, helped to complete it with the wheels, hence why I agree that you should at LEAST have GT sides

plus remember, my Stang is a nice pumpkin orange, just as "different" or "more noticeable" as your yellow (plus without ANYthing to accent the color, your car will look like a banana with wheels! haha)
have a good one

Jerry, I like the side stripes.Thats what I was thinking. They do help to break the car up alittle. The back needs something different.

Thanks for replies, I added some rough ideas to the bottom of my page that I had before I even started this project, I felt assembling the car first before commiting was a good idea.
Drawing are as close as I could get using my Corel program. Sloppy but you can get the idea of what I had in mind from the begining.
Im 50/50 on doing anything now.

That is one sharp car. You outdid yourself!! THe single side stripe looks good. For a forward look, I like the 69 Boss style stripe treatment. Too much stuff on the hood. opinion. Some kind of an accent around the top of rear spoiler. VERY WELL DONE! Another thought, the Boss 429's were SO sharp without anything other than the scoop and decal on fender. All business.

Gary the side stripe is way cool.It really helps the car.I like the rear black out look. The hood stripes I think are to much. But what do I know look at my car.I like the less, is more look.

some may consider THIS idea to be sacriligious, HOWEVER i think it might make the car look nice
Use the 69 camaro SS stripes -- theyre wider and spread further apart than the Shelby stripes And they only cover the hood and trunk
but thats just me, its just a thought
have a good one

Where do you think the car needs help? I noticed with the stripes on the rocker panel, gave the car a more slender look from the side. Without the stripes, it has more of a lower heavy look to it.

Best decision you could make! Idle minds can dream up ways to mess things up. I speak for myself!! LOL! You now know that the car needs no "stuff" to make it better! It was fun hearing different opinions including my own!! LOL!

I like the idea of blacking out the taillight panel, just to break up the yellow on the back a bit more.

If it were mine (I'm dreaming here, ok) I would be looking at doing a set of 69 Boss 302 style stripes with "528" in place of "302"... but hey, that's just me.

Basically you have to choose whatever you like. When it comes down to it, as it is now, the car has enough punch (visual and 'motorvation') to lay waste on about anything that it comes up against short of a full on pro-stock race car. I love it!!!

I like it without any black accents. I do like the idea of custom made badges. Something like a cobra coiled around the numbers "528". Something small and tasteful.

I agree, some marking relating to the 528 is needed, nobody knew what size the engine was or the other parts used.
I was asked that question every few mins. at the show. I'll come up with something with at the least a board to display with build info. Some emblem would be cool..
