Gary, We try to name our Mustangs after the character of the car. Sometime it's a do to the color of the mustang or by the attitude the mustang has. Give us some information on your Mustang, paint color, engine, or characteristic your Mustang has. It will make it a little easier for all of us to help you "Name" your Mustang. C'mon guys, some of these names sound like a character list for a future episode of Xena, Princess Warrior. If you're going to name your car, it really should come from you. Something that just comes out of thin air, fits the car's personality, and sticks in your mind even when you think some other name would be cooler. It shouldn't be bald-faced obvious, cliche', it shouldn't be contrived, and it shouldn't be the type of thing you'd risk seeing coming at you on the road on a windshield banner on a 12-foot tall 1976 F250 4WD with a snorkel scoop, a rebel flag waving from the bed, and super swampers all the way around with a litter of empty Bud cans blowing out the back. I've had a couple cars I named Piece-o-blank, and that's about the extent of my car naming beyond "blue '69" or "black Fairlane". Real original, huh? My sister named her springtime yellow '66 fastback "Lula-Mae" when she received it for her 15th birthday. 22 years, 2 wrecks, 3 restorations, and 300,000 miles later, Lula-Mae is now semi retired as a fully restored sunny-weather car that my sis would NEVER EVER part with. You look at the car now, and it just reeks the personality and the name, and everybody she ever knew, remembers the name of that car. A car's personality is way deeper than the color of the paint, so try to think of something that's not so obvious, and it will actually "stick" to the car better. Just my 2 cents on a Friday afternoon!

I had a 62 Vette for several years and it was named Capt'n for the original owner, an Air Force Captain in Viet Nam who went down in a F-4. The name went with her when I sold it.{mistake}! I had a 72 Gran Torino it was ginger w/brown vinyl top. My wife named it el loado-- the load, 'cause she hated it, color, looks, and she couldn' see out of it. The name melloyellow on the 68 cv-told that story before but it went with that song that came out around 68 and a yellow 68 cv from that period. The only Mustang I ever named. If I had a black stang it would be Misty-for the big, fat black cat that lies on the desk, as she is now, when on the computer.

I named my stang after an ex-girlfriend, the similarities are striking....She was a redhead it's red, I spent all my money on em, they're both fickle, They only time they were in the mood to screw me was at a grossly inconvient time...but despite all that, or maybe because of it, I would go crazy over em Dan

I like the yellow fever idea. Miss Stang got her name because I never thought of anything else for her, but then again, she is THE Mustang in my book. Your mustang is probably rare and in a way exotic compared to all the other crap on the road. So the name should be like that too. Even though your car may be a beastly hoss, its ok to give it a womanly name. Think about all the bombers in WWII that were named after women like "Memphis Belle", "Glamorous Elenor" etc. It it works for a 4,000+ HP aircraft with 13 machineguns sticking out the side and 800 pounds of bombs, why wont it work for a car?

NEVER did THAT stuff too much!! But I heard that ol' song last week and turned it FULL VOLUME in my Dodge van wishing I was driving that original 68 cv! Thanks for some of the good ideas (names)but think I'll hold off nameing it until I truely decide wheather or not to add some additional black or not. It's alright the way it is but still think it needs either stripes or some graphics to make it standout other than just bright yellow. I used to have a Ferrari red 69 Mustang Rcode that looked nice but when I added the stripes (gloss black with pinstripe around edges)it made all the difference in the world Im taking the car to a Mustang show this Sunday in Bradenton, Fl. I'll see how it shows and go from there, Im sure to get opinions at the show to help me decide. Thanks again ("A horse with no name")by: America...no, haven't been through a desert with it yet..lol[This message has been edited by Gary (edited 11-14-2001).]

I'm not big on naming vehicles, but here's my stupid idea: Since it is yellow with black accents, a license plate could read: STUNG U Of course you would only need the plate on the rear because that would be the only view available to "opponents". BTW Gary, I've probably said this before, but your car is AWESOME!

I changed out the power valves to 3.5's and installed the vac. secondary spring kits linking the two together by vac. line so they open at the same time. I test drove the car after tuning, I run her up slowly in first only up to 3000 rpm then I nailed it, well the rear veiw mirror came right off the windsheild flying pass my head, from there she torqued right then started hazing the tires. Stroked BBF=MEGA TORQUE!!!!and im lovin it
