At a car show Mike and I were at this summer, we spoke to someone with a nice white '69 Mach 1, and he mentioned someone had a web site where you could type in a Ford part number and it would search data bases of Ford dealers in the US and Canada. Then you could contact the dealer and buy the part. He said he had found some obscure stuff that way.

I gave him my e-mail address and he was supposed to send me the address, but he never did.

Anyone hear of this before?

I was trying to buy a wiper switch for my 73, I only found it in one catalog, cjponyparts, and I ordered it. They called me and said it was recently discontinued and hadn't been removed from the catalogue yet. They said I should call the local Ford dealer and see if they had any in stock. They didn't but had some database or something and found a couple in ky. at some obsolete parts dealer. had it the next day. The bad part was it was listed in the catalog for @ $13.00, and it cost me $84.00.

I believe what you are looking for is www.partsvoice.com You need to know the part numbers and it will list the stocking dealers.
