Thanks for the replies. I will give it a shot and see what happens. The only reason I wanted to do it was because I have this engine,it runs(or at least did in the truck it came from-a 73 F-150) and I need to buy time until I can get the $$$ for a rebuild on my 289. Thanks,Bob
