Well I've read about them and the magazines make it sound so simple but replacing full floor pans, toe boards, torqueboxes, and part of the inner seat support took a little longer than they say. I've cut and welded in many items on my 68 (quarter skins, outer wheel houses, trunk drops, etc) but this was anything but a weekend project.Must be the longest weekend in history because I started Thanksgiving weekend and put the final welds on one night last week. Have all of the inside in epoxy now. Woooooo Hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!! All the do it yourselfers out there beware of what you read in the rags. David (Maybe I'm just getting old and slow though) Nah. Never happen. Must have been the weather.

Never had anything work as easy as advertised. hummm?? Well, maybe the above average weekend wrench turner should be able to do a complete resto in a weekend. Can you imagine the $$ you could make?!! Hey wait, I could make millions in 1 year. Just do a major job like that everyday and charge big $$. [This message has been edited by 65hoss (edited 03-07-2000).] IP: 208.14.114.33 |

Indeed Hoss. The only problem I have is if this was a weekend project I may have to live to 180 to finish this thing. Actually it has taken quite a few weekends but when the weather was too cold to work on it (being outside) I was striping to metal, cleaning, refurbishing, priming, painting, and bagging any and every part I took off of her in the garage which is too small to put all the parts in and the car too.
