Mount a 67 rearview mirror base in a 68? I have been told that it will work just fine. I know that I will need to drill new holes. I don't know WHERE the base mounts. I know it mounts in the center of the glass but how far forward? Does the base touch the gasket? How in the world do I figure this out?

Is there anyone that can snap a photo of their '67 Mustang's mirror for Jay?

Jay, sorry I missed this first time it was up front. Have you solved it yet? I went out and looked and it rests far forward so that the screws may attach through the lip which it appears the headliner attaches. Hope this is clear enough. If you need me to be more specific let me know, I'll take a quick shot and post if need be.
