Can you just bolt on the Shelby style side scoops onto a non Shelby? Where can you get them and is there a difference between them and the California Special scoops and if there is what is it and could you use them the same way?

My suggestion would be to not drill holes in the body, but to use epoxy glue to paint stripped body.Put the car next to a wall or something secure and place wood sticks between to apply pressure while drying.Scoops are available from Calif.mustang

The GT/CS scoops are the same as the Shelby's and you can put them on a non Shelby. Alex

Scoops should have a couple of studs glassed in. Measure carefully (twice) and install them correctly. My white Shelby has black sealer in between the scoops and body.

We added the GT/CS side scoops to the sons 68 Coupe..they do have studs glassed in..follow georges suggestion..we also use some body filler to "smooth" out the rough spots. We also took some mesh and cut to fit the "opening" of the scoop..

look in members photos "Coupe68 Jason"..I think you can see them.. photo was taken in late afternoon in Nov.95
