or

Which do you think would be better?

So you want milder, huh?

I don't really like the two you have there, {especially the 252} because they have 110 degree lobe separation {so does the 268 I recommended before I realized you had fuel injection}, which your computer won't keep up with very well. I would think you'd want something more like a 112.

Besides, isn't your 302 a roller cam?

I'm not recommending Isky cams, but look at this one:

PART: 371252257
Camshafts : by Isky Racing Cams

Retail Price: $318.74
Our Price: $288.00

Best overall cam for towing. Trucks, Vans, R. V. etc. Broad torque band. Good vacuum. 3.55-4.10 axle ratio. 9.5:1 Compr. Computer compatible. Smooth idle. RPM-Range (1200-5000) Valve Lift (.465 .480) Valve Lash hot (.000 .000) ADV Duration (252 257) .050 Duration (204 210) LC 112

To be clear:

You have an '90 F-150 4x4, 302 EFI {roller cam?}, overdrive auto, 3.55 gears, 31x10.50R15 tires, and you want a torque/towing engine.

I asked Alex to give us advice, and I know he'd want that info.

It is a hydraulic cam. I wish it were roller

I finally got through to CompCams and talked to one of there techs. They recommend the 31-255-5. It has a lobe seperation of 114*

Hi all, sorry for not being around but we were at Rt.66 in Joliet all week. We did NOT do well either. The only saving grace was Tony won P/SA class. More on that later. Now on to the cam selection. I have had good experiance with both the 260 and 268 CC cams. The31-255-5 is brand new and I have not used or sold one yet. I'm not a big fan of Isky as most of you know. Very high quality but a little behind the times for me. My pick is the Comp 31-213-4 for 67stangs application. Check it out guys.

Wow, both of those look good, Alex's pick will be easier on your valvetrain.

Thanks, Alex.
