As long as I have access to it (its going bye bye soon), I have a question about it.Will the steering knuckles from a 81 Bronco (with the TTB) fit on a 79 Bronco (solid axle)? If so I want to strip the knuckles off this bronco too. Anybody know for sure?

They probably aren't,because the knuckle points to the back for the steering box on a 79 with a long drag link, while 80-up have the steering box in front, with an inverted Y steering linkage. The hub and spindle are probably interchangable though.[This message has been edited by MLariviere (edited 07-18-2001).]

Unless I am mistaken, the knuckle points to the front on the 79 too.

The box is in the front? I know the 79 2WD's are in back, and I ASSUMED the 4x4's were too.

Now I am going to have to check when I get home, but I could swear that it is. The centerlink goes in front of the diff cover.......

OK Mike, the knuckle points forward on the 79. I double checked
