I am looking at a 64 2 door sedan. My question is did ford make a 6 cyl. sports coupe non 500 car? The car I am looking at is a 6 cyl. car, the guy selling it say's it is a sports coupe. The chrome is off the car but it looks like non 500 to me. Also I know the 500 has chrome around the rear windows, this one did not. How hard is it to convert a car to a 500. This car is in decant shape, just wondering what it would take to do. Thanx, JOE

A Sports Coupe is a hardtop... not a sedan.

My car isn't a 500... not only is it a bogus Thunderbolt but it's a fake 500 too A total phony!!

I added the 500 trim... this included dash bezels, door post trim, side spears, tailight panel trim and door panels.

Tom,thanx that makes sence. This one is a reg. sedan like yours but it has the chrome between the tail lights( sports coupe ) thats what threw me. I guess somebody added that. How hard is it to locate all the chrome to make it a 500. I have been looking for a good solid body for a long time, there is just not many down here in the south. Also what is something like this worth? It is just the rolling chassis or body pretty solid car has original paint but was painted over one time, very thin. Car has the tipical rusty front pans. Looks like it has never been hit, no body work. I am looking for one to make a babybolt out of (small block.) I have a 289 hi-po I would like to use with either 2 4v's or 3 2v's. Thanx, JOE

Joe
It really it shouldn't be expensive... $500 is a decent price...under $1500 anyways. If the floors are rusty that does devalue it.
