I want a Cyclone, I dont care what year (prefer 70/71), I put a few ads out, but I cant seem to find info on them online, I've found plenty of pics, and a lot for sale that I dont have the green for, but no Cyclone specific site (except the 73+ mentioned here), I'll probably end up with a Montego painted yellow/black (in my garage). With Mustangs, Cougars, etc, its easy to find specific sites with everything you never wanted to know about them, ads from anywhere you can think of. Mustangs are plentiful, and I may be "stuck" with a 64/289/4spd/cpe. Its a great car (pretty beat) for $500, but a car that was visually unchanged for 2 1/2 years, that they made over a 1/2 million of, its kinda boring, well it would be, but I'll probably have whatever you need to drive it on the street, plus a passenger seat. (i.e. ratracer) it'll look fast (nose dive suspension, big fat cheapo tires w/rwl, 2" exhaust w/3" lake pipes), sound fast (glasspacks), probably look like a total bucket (w/o rust) up close. That'll get the job done until I restore it (maybe), sell it, and get my Cyclone, which will actually be decent.

Hey .....guess what I found? A 1970 cyclone that is complete and needs very little repair to be roadworthy. I was going down a country road in Ohio checking out a lead on a 70 cougar in the weeds (it was an 69 r code eliminator...yes!!!) anyway there is one of those junkyards on this road that has about 100 cars and the cyclone is sitting up near the garage so I couldn't miss it. I didn't get the vin but its a 351c 4 sp, no ram air, red exterior with black stripes and black interior. I tried to find someone but nobody was there, same thing happened where the cougar was so I need to go back out and check it out. If your interested in coming to ohio let me know I and I'll get more info for you and some pics.

Thanks

Okay, so there are a couple sites, the problem is that in this state (especially in the towns around here), very few people are interested in muscle cars/pony cars, etc, and a lot of people arent picky. If I wanted a camero, I'd be set, there all over the place, but the only chebby I'd buy is a '68 Chevelle, but I could get a '68 California Grand Sport that looks better (68- best GM year).
As for the Cyclone, where abouts in Ohio? Do you have any idea how much? I've got to do the floor pans on a Mustang and sell it, after I find another car to replace it.
I've got reletives in Masslon, I could use that as an excuse. I do have to check on a 70 Challenger, which is another one of those must haves, I always liked 'em, then I watched Car & Driver TV when they had one on (a couple years ago, and every other month on TNN). Then I started watchin nostalgia drag racing, and goin to more car shows. The Cyclone, I saw at a car show (1970/429/4spd/yellow & black), I didn't even have to see it boil the tires off. I've actually never heard one running and only seen 4 or 5, I've only seen 1 Challenger up close, 72 440/4spd, test drove the wheels off of it.
I'd rather have the Cyclone (nobody ever knows what I'm talking about when I say Cyclone), but if the Challenger turns out as a good deal (it sounds that way so far ), then the Cyclone will be put on hold.

Hi All,
I went and took some pics and talked with the guy with the cyclone.
Heres the deal, the guy
that has it is a junk man. He was going to pull the 351c/4sp out and put
it in his 49 ford but if you are interested it can be bought complete
for 1500.00. The car is a little rougher than I thought, both quarters
are bent and there is a large bulge in the floor where he says he drug
it over a vw motor when loading it. The floor pan dent has the console
and drivers seat crooked The
good news is that the odometer shows 53000 miles and he says its
original mile (to be taken with a grain of salt of course) Let me know
if you have anymore questions or if I can be of any help.

Thanks
John
