i have a 302 sitting in my mav, but the headers need dented in to fit around the steering box... and they look like they will have a little trouble with the tranny crossmember(still the I-6 250 one... ) any suggestions/helpful hints?

You will need the V-8 tranny cross member. Is the tranny conected yet or is just the motor in? Be cause the motor angle needs to be right. What brand and model number header are you using? Also read this thread there is alot of usefull info in it.

... its all bolted in, engine to tranny crossmember's down, engine mounts are in its all bolted down, just the headers and the ps/altenator stil arent on either....
