Hello guy's!

Was looking for a set of headers for the Falcon we just bought, and saw that Hedman made a set of shorties that fit it...and Hooker made the Super Comps LONG tubes also that would work. Big difference in price!

Question is...What kind of performance difference would there be between the two? Are you somehat handicapped with the shorties over the longer Hooker tubes?

The Hedman sure look easier to put on! ...Christine

There's quite a bit of difference in quality between Hooker and Hedman, which explains some of the price difference, and there is a pretty significant performance difference, too between long and shorties. In fact, shorties are only marginally better than the exhaust manifolds.

This is about a Fairlane, but I thought you might find it amusing:

Steve...Thanks for the report and the link...VERY interesting!

My husband had thought the same thing about the shorties...said he didn't think there would be much improvement over stock manifolds...but wanted to see if someone had some other thoughts that were the same about them. ...Chris

Bob1963...Yep, we grabbed it!!! Had to just make a decision and not look back with regrets or doubts and just enjoy life a little more!

Good to hear that those headers just bolted right in!

Hopefully my husband will get some pictures of it today to post. It's parked in my mothers garage about 8 miles away and he has had the flu all week. If he feels well enough to get out he'll get some snapshots on the digital camera. ...Chris
