Okay, I've seen numerous articles etc. about heads for SBF engines. The question I have is this: Which head is better, the GT-40P or D00E 351w head? I am a little confused here due to articles and ads and would like a little clarification.

Thanks in advance guys,
Brian

Stock as is the GT-40P heads flows better. the will not interchange without machining as the GT-40s are for pedastal mount rockers and the 351's use a bolt down semi adjustable rocker.

Okay, a little more info is in order then...

I am going to be running an 89 roller with a Z303 cam. Which head will have the most potential? I was guessing the D00E, but, now I'm not sure...

Reason I am asking is I have access to both types and want to "do the right thing," so to speak.

Again, thanks in advance...

Brian,,

If you intend to put the GT-40P Heads on your '74 Mav,, you are going to have spark plug clearance trouble with the headers..

There is a short header built for the GT-40P's,, but all the long tube headers (Hooker,Hedman) have big time problems..

Just speaking from experienc.. I have GT-40P's on my '66..
