Check out page 51 of the December 2001 Car Craft for a pic of my Falcon. It was taken on a hot August day when the old bird was running off it's normal 12 second times, but I'm glad they put it in the mag anyway. It was faster with the old paint, however.

Thanks guys. My copy finally arived in the mail today. The mailman must be a slow reader.

Fastymz: I noticed your car has a 351W also. The Falcon and early Mustang have almost the same engine compartments so what fits a Mustang fits a Falcon also. I used tubular Automotive swap headers but I just purchased some 1 3/4 primary Hookers which I hope will fit. They should as they work on a '65 Mustang.Maybe a little hit with a hammer here and there will be required.

When I was young and did know any better.I had a 64 falcon, but sold to after 1 mo.My stang dose not have any dash pad at all it looks just like the falcon dash.I have had a few people tell me that the 1-3/4 headers will fit. What gears and trans do you run.
Ron.

Fastmz, You have a cool car, looks like fun.
My Falcon is running a homebuilt C4 with 3500 stall TCI converter and 9inch with 4.11's and Detroit locker. I'm thinking of going to 3.70's as it's a bit much on the freeway.I don't drive it much so might just leave it as is.

Thanks Jim,are the 4:11 to much around town or just on the freeway.I'd like to get the 3.80 or 4:11 not sure which one yet.

The 4.11's are fine around town, but if you do much freeway driving then they aren't much fun.I'd go with the 3.80's for a good compromise or 3.50's for alot of freeway driving. Either one would be an impovement on those Bonneville Speed Week gears you have now.Maybe you're going to run that Silver State speed run out in the Nevada desert?Ha.

3.70s are nice, I can do 120 MPH pulls on the interstate occasionally (when there's good reason)

Yeah,I saw that car. Looks like he's got a fun ,low cost 12 second ride there.Better to have that old Falcon, even with a Chevy in it ,seeing some track time instead of rusting away or being crushed.

Thanks Larry. I checked out that Morris semi, and it looks like just what I need to haul the Morris and Falcon to the races.Better not be in a hurry though.I'm not sure it would make it over the Grapevine to get up your way.

The sad part is he sold the semi to a guy that parked it on the coast and it's just sitting in the salt air now. It would be a good tow outfit if you put a 460 in it .
