I HAVE 61 FALCON W/302 AND A C4 TRANNY, B&M STAR SHIFTER. WHEN I START OUT IN LOW GEAR AND BUMP IT TO THE NEXT GEAR EVERTHING SEEMS FINE, BUT WHEN I SHIFT IT INTO THE NEXT GEAR WHICH IS DRIVE. THE TRANNY DOESNT SLIP INTO THAT DRIVE GEAR. IS THERE AN ADJUSTMENT ON THE TRANNY OR CABLE OR SOMETHING THAT I FORGOT TO HOOK UP. CAN SOMEONE STEP ME THROUGH THIS PROCESS. THE SHIFTER DOES MOVE THREE POSITIONS FROM LOW TO DRIVE. I KNOW THIS IS A ROOKIE QUESTION BUT IM STUMPED.

THANKS SCOTT

I just installed a B&M Quick Silver shifter in my Maverick and the instructions that came with the shifter said to adjust the cable by #1 move shift lever to the most rearward position, put shifter in low gear , insert adjuster nut into shift lever and adjust until it was an easy slip fit
#2 move lever to the park position and check that the adjuster nut is an easy slip fit (if not then turn the nut until it is#3repete steps 1&2 until nut slips in and out of lever easily in all gear positions.
