I just got my 428 running again after a 5 month "refresh" job and ended up doing more machine work and buying more parts than I wanted to. My car is a 68 XR7 GT that I put a 428 and 4-speed and 4.56 gears in. Last year I ran a 11.39 @ 122.4 with a 1.67 60ft. with a 20 year old shortblock! I feel with the new engine combo and a few chassis mods and clutch tuning it will be in the 10's this year. It is a street legal car with full interior and I only race it a few times a year.

About a month ago, I was launching my 70 cat, and my rear shifted which in turn caused the front section of the leafs to buckle down about 10 degrees. The leafs had been modified with extra truck springs, dual axle plates, e.t.c. I think my quest for low end torque is complete. I have since installed a total of 6 leafs with the secondary truck leaf running from eye to shackle, and traction bars. I hope this setup works out. Great to be on the road again.

my 67 just celebrated her 25th anniversary with me!! she has almost 390k miles on her and i would drive her across these united states today!!

the 69 vert.... on the other hand..... has been giving me fits from her carb.... she is currently spewing fuel from the transfer tube and we havent had time to replace the o-ring.... it only takes a minute, but sometimes that is tough to find!!

i am sorta-kinda looking into a shell of a 68 to ~think~ about building a stripper.... i am currently racing boyfrinns 70 mustang, am currently putting the 62 fairlane sports coupe {CHIKCOOP] on 'hold' (she has no floors.... waiting to be tubbed....).... so i maybe might be able to change strippers in mid-stream..... maybe..... decisions decisions.....~sigh~

Well I haven't been doing much to the cat, she's just sitting around under a cover. I have been working on the mustang project though and am making slow progress. I have installed a ps box and centerlink/control valve. I've also got the power brake booster installed and the disc's....nevr seems to be enough time...lol
