And damned if the hood can't really hurt!!!I've gotten so used to being under the hood of my cougar and having to watch out for the "fang" that it has carried over to other cars now. I'll being all ducking and weaving even when there is nothing there! It is also fun to watch friends who aren't used to it hit their head. You know it is coming, it is only a matter of time!!!! I would love to have a real Eliminator! Mike mine Grabber Orange, er , I mean "Competition Gold"! I used to have a clone, that car looked goo-ood! Tom

I wish it was mine. A nice B2 or 428 Eliminator would be the one thing that I might be tempted to ditch the Mustang for...I previously owned an Acapulco Blue 70 XR-7 car. Absolutely loaded - 351C-4V, A/C, tilt, PW, rear defog, plus all the "usual" Cougar goodies. I miss that car! And yes, I completely understand what everybody means above the "tooth" on the front of the hood - I still have scars!!! ------------------ My webpage: www.gt350clone.com

One of the three that I owned was a 69 base "Q" code 4 speed car factory painted code 6 gray. Bought it from work when the used up car manager thought it was a 390 car. That profit made a few house payments. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." In addition to the 70 XR7, I owned a 69 390 car (real rusty - ended up parting out out), and an early 69 San Jose Bench seat car - serial # was like 500042. Served me well for several years."The One that Got Away" still bugs me. In the early 80's, I looked at a 70 XR7 351C-4V car that was loaded, including a factory moon roof. Price was $500, and I didn't buy it becuase it was smoking out the right tailpipe!! WTF was I thinking!!! ------------------ My webpage: www.gt350clone.com

I have to agree with the 70 being on my wish list.Even with the tooth bitting your head ever time you check the oil. I had a friend in high school he had a 70 XR-7 302 4SPD,non org, car.I loved that car it was bright yellow wit black stipes, and a black scoop,he could not work on cars for nothing. So I'd tell him I'd fix little things on it, but I'd need the car for 2-3days. Boy did I have fun with that car.SCOOP ------------------ oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8"3.40 TracLoc,Cragar SS,Black Suede. https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/Fastymz.html

What color is that? It doesn?t look like Acapulco Blue or the medium blue they had.I sold a nose for 69 cat a few years ago to a guy that had an orange XR7. It wasn?t an eliminator but it was a sharp car with black interior, AC, 390 4V and a 4 spd. He was the original owner and gave it to his kid. It was rust and dent free with the original paint until his kid did some bodywork with a tree.
