Checked with my local Dealership around March and asked if they would get any Bullitt Mustangs in and they said no. Heh heh heh...they was wrong!!

Saw one the other day when the wife and I were looking (read: dreaming) at a PowerStroke turbo diesel Excursion.

Mike, you were right. As much as I love the sound of my 5.0 with Flow's, the Bullitt sounds downright exhilarating! Very, very sweet car. It was a black Bullitt, with two more DHG Bullits (they already sold the 1st DHG they had) on the way.

I envy you guys!! I'd love to have one to play with!!

As for all the talk about a rear spoiler/wing. I really like that Rousch (sp?) wing they had on the concept Bullitt. Small, barely noticeable, yet adding that perfect touch identifying it as a new model Mustang. Just my two-cents.

Thanks for the honest review Stewart.
If you liked the sound of the exhaust at the dealer, wait til you hear it as it goes into the 5000+RPM. If I knew how to double-clutch, I'd swear it was exactly like the sounds of the movie.

Anyone that hasn't had a chance to hear, see, or drive one of these babies is in for a real treat. I tok mine on some serious twisty-turny roads today. Ear-to-ear grin the whole time. Corners like a champ and pulls hard as you exit the turn.

Mike,I don't know if they used the same exhaust on the GT's but Becks Convt sounds healthy, I only hear it when she is driving away, she lets me ride in it every once in a while. Actually she let me drive it to work today, only because she needed the Explorer to haul some stuff.

Stewie, A Powerstroke Excursion, why???? You gonna start hauling motorhomes across the USA

Stewart has to get that Powerstroke to haul that new horse around. Them trailers can be really heavy.

Mike, the basic exhaust is the same, but the mufflers on the Bullitt are 'different'from the stock GT ones. Someone said they are the highflow ones in the Ford Motorsport Catalog, but I haven't confirmed that yet.

I just know that it sounds really cool!!

Because like BG Mikee said, we'll eventually need something to pull a horse trailer...possibly even a four horse trailer in the distant future. However, for the immediate needs, Renee needs something that can haul her tack. We thought about getting a Super Duty Crew Cab F-250, but we would have to trade in the Crown Vic. If we did that, the truck would become the family car. But since we're used to alot of interior space for long drives (the kids really, really need space between them!!!!) I suggested an Expedition to Renee.

So we checked out a few Expeditions, but nothing really tickles her fancy, so I mention the Excursion. Well, her boss has an Excursion, and while Renee loves the interior room, she didn't like the gas mileage. Heh heh heh. I tell her the mileage sucks because the got the 6.8L V-10.

Soooooo, to make this long story shorter, I told her I wouldn't own an Excursion anyway...not unless it had the house pulling 7.3L PowerStroke engine!

"Does that make a really big difference," she asks? Oh yeah, baby...it sure does!

So that's how we ended up driving the PowerStroke Excursion. That's her new hearts desire for a vehicle now. And of course, that's why I have to hit the lottery now!

As a well-known man who's last name I share says, "...and now you know the rest, of the story."

Well, I finally saw a Bullitt up close and personal today myself. Way cool. I saw one at Carlisle a couple weeks ago, but it was behind ropes, so I couldn't get too close.

Went by our club's car show this morning, and there was one lonely Bullitt there. #1004. Dark Highland Green. Man, that color really is awesome. I even got to see the passenger side this time...saw the fuel door. Pretty sharp.

The owner had the windows open, and he'd let us open the doors to look inside. Those seats look nice. The gauges are cool. I was talking to the guy a bit, and he said it does indeed have more punch than a GT (of course) and sounds nicer too. He told me he had a choice between that and a Saleen...he went for the Bullitt.

MAN I LOVE THAT CAR!!!!!!

I'll have pictures up some time...my ISP's FTP server isn't working correctly right now.

Frank,
I hope you didn't see Bullitt #1004 in Maryland yesterday. Because that is MY Bullitt and I'm sure it was at a show in Colorado.
I'm glad you liked it's twin so much though.
