Went to pick up the Bullitt from body shop repairing the door dings that occurred somewhere in transit from Detroit to here.

They repainted the entire driver's door in process of fixing the dings. The dings appeared to be taken care of great but, paint was wavy, orange peely. Standing next to car, hubby's reflection in front fender was clear as a mirror, my reflection in driver's door was wavy, wobbly (no, I hadn't been drinking!). There also seemed to be several dust particles in it.
We rejected the paint and also said if they rebuff to fix be sure not to get swirlies.

The body shop was warned they aren't dealing with the typical car owner, who probably would have thought it was fine. This is my brand new baby - I expect perfection or at least the same quality at the rest of the car.
Won't have it back until Monday, because I'll be out of town on Friday when it supposed to be ready again.

You know Joyce, whether it's a descriminating customer like yourself, or somebody who just has a little "beater" car that needs fixed, that kind of workmanship should never be allowed.

There should have been a quality inspector put a seal of approval on the work before you even got to see it.

Maybe they will take heed and do it right this time...

They called before noon this morning saying it was ready to go.
Mike told them we didn't want to make the trip again and be disappointed. She assured him "it was taken care of."

We weren't disappointed. It looks flawless today. The lady who runs the shop was very apologetic and said it wouldn't have happened yesterday if she had been there.

They color sanded and rebuffed, it looks perfect now and we didn't have to wait until after the holiday weekend to get it back. I drove it more today than I had previously, good gawd that thing is awesome - it's gonna take some getting used to because although it is a lot like my 97, it is much much different (read - BETTER!)

Take a look at photo I posted in Sam's.
