I heard that there's a recall on '94's, something about hood separation? Can someone brief me on the problem, what the fix is, which cars are affected, etc.? Thanks!

There was some information on the hood recall some time ago. Ked got a letter from FORD about it, but I didn't get one. Basically, the upper portion of the hood can become seperated from the lower portion of the hood. If not found and fixed, in a head-on collision, the upper portion can completely seperate and be sent through the windshield. Go to your dealer and ask them to check it out. I think the fix is to use a higher powered sealant to put the upper and lower portions together. This does not affect ALL SN95s by the way. Let us know what happens. Mike

I called the local Ford dealer, they asked for my VIN number, and in 2 minutes I had an appointment for Monday. Warning - be prepared to not have your car for a couple of daye - apparently the adhesive is slow-drying.Dale PS - that Reno trip sounds better all the time.

I got mine in and out in one day. They told me they had to add some more support to it. Maybe you just got a busy dealer, huh?
