I bought a set of Mac Equal Length headers for my 88 GT Vert. The guy told me they were direct replacements. Before I go to this though, I want your input. Are equal length shorties or unequal length shorties direct replacements?------------------

Both are direct replacements, equal length headers are just a major pita to install (tight fit).------------------

Yes as tim said they will bolt right on ( not real easily, but they will bolt right up ), They will be a huge improvenment over your stock "crunch tube" headers  ------------------

Easy is a "relative" term. 
I always get worried when the insructions say easy set up or install.

Trust me Scoop, no manufacturer (or person who knows a thing) would call equal length headers on a 5.0 an "easy install" .------------------

My FRPP unequals were a piece of cake to install. I don't think I'd even want to try the equals though. Are you going to be making enough power to make it worthwhile?
