Since Dave posted his problem regarding electical gremlins that are probably related to his multi-switch, I have a question regarding my multi-switch!My windshield wipers work when turned on, but when I push in on the switch to activate the resevoir pump, none of the fluid is pumped onto the windshield. The pump doesn't activate (cycle) nor do the wipers do the momentary "three wipe dance" Fuses are all okay, and like I said, the wipers work when turned on. Multi-switch problem? Yeah, it sure could be. In fact, it probaby is. The windshield wipers, turn signals, and headlights are all routed directly through that switch. Infact, the wipers are controlled from that switch directly if I remeber correctly. But before you go off and get a new one, borrow someone elses . They are almost 100 dollars, so best way to check is to swap one out real quick and see if that solves your problem. (yeah talk about a half a*sed way to do it right?). Another solution would be to get an electrical schematic for the wiper/washer system. A local garage or parts store should be able to get you this. Then just trace the system backwards checking for problems along the way. This method makes more sense but it's also more work .------------------ -FISHTAIL 92GT "The Ghetto Sled" CMPS major @ University of MD college park Best ET/MPH thus far: 14.40/100.67mph....damn wheel spin. Ya know, I forgot to post the simplest thing you can do......check for power at both the pump, and the wiper motor when you depress that switch with a test light. If there isn't any(and there probably isn't, especially if your wipers work otherwise), CHECK to make sure all of the connections on the back of the multi-switch are tight. They have a real tendancy to work themselves loose sometimes. If the connections are tight, then it's time to start tracing wires, or shotgunning it with someone else who has a mustang that is willing to let you temporary disect it.------------------ -FISHTAIL 92GT "The Ghetto Sled" CMPS major @ University of MD college park Best ET/MPH thus far: 14.40/100.67mph....damn wheel spin. Thanks Mike. I'll check the connections on the switch itself first.I've had the steering wheel collar off before, but didn't really look at how the switch is bolted in. IS it a pretty straight forward removal? Stewart

I think so, but you might need a specail torx bit to take it off. To check the connections, you won't need to remove it though, you can simply reach behind it and check that way ------------------ -FISHTAIL 92GT "The Ghetto Sled" CMPS major @ University of MD college park Best ET/MPH thus far: 14.40/100.67mph....damn wheel spin. Actually, the simplest solution would be to make sure you have fluid in your winshield washer reservoir!!
