Are you looking for any type of OEM replacement? Or something specific? If you're looking for any type of replacement, and aren't being too picky, the Sears/Wal-Mart type stores can get them for you.

If you want something specific, and don't want to order online, or from the company's that advertise in the trade mags, then any tire store could get them for you.

Your local auto parts store might even have them in stock.

Thanks Stewart for the reply.Yes I can get the vertical ones at a normal auto parts store. But they dont seem to carry the horizontal one.Ford does not carry them. They look very diferent from the normal shock. But if you think they can be at Sears I will try there. Dan

Hmmm, maybe it has to do with the year of your Mustang. I actually thought that might have been the reason you posted, after I had already responded.

I know for my '90, I can find them anywhere. Is it the year of your Mustang that's causing the problem?

I would try asking for them for an '85-93 GT. The quad shocks didnt come in til part way though '84 so they may not see them as existing.

I have a pair of Monroe hoizontal shocks that were bought at a local parts store. I don`t have the boxes, but the following numbers are stamped into the shock body.
5849 PJ01 JAIC. I would assume that the 5849 number may be the part #, with the rest being a plant/date code, but thats just a guess.
