Hi. i need help with a install of a new bbk/walbro 255lph intank fuel pump. i am installing this into a 88 gt. the problem that i am haveing is that the pump wont fit in the fuel pump hanger!. the fuel pump seems to wide/fat to fit in the hanger. do i have to mod the hanger to get it to fit? and if so do you have any tips/tricks on how to do this?.. thanks any help will be very much Appreciated.... p.s. i need to finish this up b4 this wensday. (i need it done so i can goto the track)

Well, It might be too late already, but just incase your still stuck with the car apart I'll answer . Since you don't have much of a choice in the matter, if the pump is too big around, just wedge that sucker in there. That hanger is just a couple peices of cheep steel that can be bent w/o too much trouble. Just be careful not to damage any of the lines or wires. But you won't hurt it by bending it. And it doesn't have to be pretty, not like anyone can see it .

thanks for the info... i Pritty much just did that. but i cut off a part of the lil cup that it sits in on each side so i could fit the fuel sock inplace.... not a perfect fit but sofar its worked good.. iv got one thing to say. NoMore Lean condision!.
