Is there an aftermarket 5.0 flywheel that retains the 28 oz. balance and can have a 10.5" diaphragm clutch? Somewhere I remember seeing one with a bolt on balance. I have the cast 5.0 flywheel but no machine shop I have talked can take it to the 28 oz. balance factor. Any one know of an aftermarket flywheel or a machine shop(preferably in AL, GA, or TN) that can do it. Thanks

The removable balance one is not a flywheel but a balancer available through Ford. The only flywheels I know of for that setup(28oz +10.5 clutch) are available through the aftermarket companies for big dollar. I haven't seen one in cast form only billet form. I got mine through Ford for close to $300. I think Hays makes them also, so you might want to check and see if they have one in cast form.

Well cpmaverick pointed me in the right direction with his machine shop that he uses near Anniston, AL. Only 60 bucks which beats all the other prices. Thanks for all the info.------------------ 1968 302 5-spd Fastback, Modified 1965 Coupe 1981 F-150

On my 78 Fairmont 302 (28 0z) when I switched from a C4 to a T5 5 speed, I took a 89 5.0 flywheel (50 oz imbalance) & my stock flexplate into a local engine balancing shop. They took weight off the counter balance pad to match it to my 28 oz flexplate. It worked fine, over 5 years now, no vibration.
