hey guys..

About what do you think the top speed is with 3.08 gears? for a 302

How about a 4.10?

Theyd be coming with the 8.8 so... It's either one of those two.

I'm not sure what to get...
I love going fast on the freeway but I don't want a slow *** off the line start either.

I dunno about top speed for the 3.08, but I've had mine up to 135 and still had pedal left.

I have a stock engine with a 65mm TB, underbody cold air induction, and a modified suspension. Pretty darn close to stock.

PS - I have a stock T5 tranny.

It really depends on how much power the car has. Even with the 4.10 gears you are probably going to run out of power before you run out of gear on the highway. With a T-5 and its 0.68:1 ratio in 5th gear you can run pretty deep gears and still be able to hit 150+ (with enough power of course). A stock engined 87-93 Mustang has a top speed of about 145 mph. That will not vary much no matter if you have the 3.08 or 4.10 gears.

4.10s are pretty steep for the street, so you will be shifting a lot more than with 3.08s around town. 1st gear will be pretty useless around town with the T-5's 3.35 1st gear ratio. It'll sure pop off the line quickly though... just be ready to shift FAST. 3.73 gears seem to be the most popular with the T-5 crowd... nice compromise between streetability and performance.

I have 4:10's in my 86 Capri with a t-5 and i love em. Of course it's not a daily driver. At the track you better be ready to shift F A S T !!!!

I'll probably go for the 4.10's.
I want to be able to launch pretty quick.
