My lady friend remarked as I was shaving after a shower, "You're not using lather"!! Why should I?? Well, I use Bic razor for sensitive skin and lather is not a must if your beard is soft. Haven't used lather in years! Waste of money! Sometimes a hint of soap but that's it. Lather is for "girly men"!! Wuses! And electric razors SUC-probably what Jeff Gordon uses!!

Well "pal", I have a VERY togh beard and I DO use lather. MAN stuff as in Foamy by Gillette. My beard is the consistancy of 80 grit DA discs after about 14-15 hours. Just ask Beth, she has the rug burn to prove it. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl

I used to hate electric razors since they never get close until my girlfriend bought me one for Christmas. It's so much easier, and I'm lazy. And anyone that can grow some REAL facial hair NEEDS shaving cream. Even with a brand new razor, I'd get instant razor burn without it when I actually use a razor.------------------ Neal Member #723 [email protected] AIM: MrWesson22 69 Gulfstream Aqua Grande 351C/Toploader 4sp

I wonder if Jim Bowie shaved with his knife? Would he have used shaving cream? ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl

Jim Bowie probably used a straight razor and some soap applied from a cup, with a brush. Though if his razor wasn't handy on occasion, he probably could have used his knife.I've been shaving since 15 and that is 20 years now. Whiskers as tough as wire and so dense that some of them grow together to form ones that are 3 times as tough! I use the disposable Bic razors and don't get many shaves out of them, because it doesn't take long to get them dull as a hoe. I buy whatever shaving cream is least expensive. Usually Colgate. Because I have not found that any cream or gel makes much difference for me. And the whiskers are so dark that I have PERPETUAL five o'clock shadow, even if I have just shaved! Electric razors? Forget it! For me, that is like trying to run a lawnmower over astroturf! ------------------ David "Lean on me. I am just another dumb fence post." 1978 LTD II 2 Door 1979 Ranchero GT

Me too on the electric razor. 5 minutes later and I have stubble. Barbasol shaving cream is almost always on sale for about $.99 a can. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl
