My V6 1995 Mustang stutters under moderate acceleration. I have had a dealer and a different mechanic look at it. They wet tested for electrical problems and found none. I have used fuel injector cleaners and replaced the fuel filter. The car shudders under moderate acceleration and stops if I back off the throttle or accelerate harder. The shuddering is occurs frequently between 30-40 mph. It has an auto transmission. Could it be the torque converter? Any other suggestions? Many thanks.

Ked's car did the same thing as did a 96 t-bird I formerly owned. Take it to a shop and have the trans serviced. Replace all the fluids, the filter, and on my Bird they reprogrammed something in the trans?? but it made that very same problem go away. They used to change the convertor to fix that problem, but this is supposed to a more viable solution (it is definatley cheaper)
